چکیده
Abstract The oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of 1-butene to 1,3-butadiene was studied over a series AFe 2 O 4 catalysts, where A = Zn, Mn, Ni, Cu, Mg and Fe. catalysts were characterised by XPS, EPR spectroscopy, BET surface area analysis, Raman spectroscopy XRD. All the ferrites active for ODH gave an order activity after 80 h on-stream ZnFe > NiFe MnFe MgFe CuFe FeFe . lost significant (up ~ 80%) under reaction conditions 0.75:1:15 oxygen:1-butene:steam with overall GHSV 10,050 −1 at 693 K. Fe 3 unstable converted , which showed very low activity. Nickel ferrite only material that carbon dioxide as product, all others selective 1,3-butadiene. Zinc steady-state yield 80%. Inversion parameters determined from XPS correlation obtained between inversion parameter, indicating 3+ in octahedral hole is key species mechanism dehydrogenation. Butene isomerisation shown occur on different sites.

Oxidative dehydrogenation of 1-butene to butadiene over carbon nanotube catalysts
The applications of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as catalysts have attracted much interests in catalysis community due to their unique porous microstructure and chemical properties. One of the promising results is the use of CNTs in the oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of ethylbenzene to styrene [1,2]. However, only few works were reported on the use of CNTs or other carbonaceous materials to catalyz...
متن کاملOxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane to Ethylene with CO2 over Fe−Cr/ZrO2 Catalysts
The catalytic performance of Fe-Cr/ZrO2 catalysts, prepared by two different methodsscoprecipitation and coprecipitation-impregnation were examined in oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene using CO2 as an oxidant. Thermogravimetric analysis and physicochemical characterization such as XPS, XRD, and BET were performed to explore the correlation of catalytic performance with physicochem...
متن کاملMetal–Organic Framework Supported Cobalt Catalysts for the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane at Low Temperature
Zr-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been shown to be excellent catalyst supports in heterogeneous catalysis due to their exceptional stability. Additionally, their crystalline nature affords the opportunity for molecular level characterization of both the support and the catalytically active site, facilitating mechanistic investigations of the catalytic process. We describe herein the...

Role of ceria in oxidative dehydrogenation on supported vanadia catalysts.
The effect of the suppport on oxidative dehydrogenation activity for vanadia/ceria systems is examined for the oxidation of methanol to formaldehyde by use of well-defined VO(x)/CeO(2)(111) model catalysts. Temperature-programmed desorption at low vanadia loadings revealed reactivity at much lower temperature (370 K) as compared to pure ceria and vanadia on inert supports such as silica. Densit...
